SMS Texting Terms and Conditions

Berkshire Bank offers one-time SMS or “short message service” text messages with the Text AMEB service. You will not be enrolled in any recurring text message program or text message "mailing list." You may text 26321 (AMEB1) with a message or question and receive a call back to assist you. Data obtained from you in connection with this SMS service may include your cell phone number, your carrier's name, and the date, time and content of your messages. We may use this information to contact you and to provide the services you request from us. Please note that SMS text messages are not a secure form of communication; you should not text us confidential information such as account numbers, passwords or social security numbers. We will gather all required information when we call you back to resolve your inquiry.

Neither Berkshire Bank nor the wireless carriers will be liable for any delayed or undelivered SMS messages as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator. SMS message services are provided on an as is basis; one text message per query.

Berkshire Bank does not have a separate charge for this text service; however, message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. Participation in the program on this short code is standard rated (no premium content). Mobile carriers supported are AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Metro PCS, Cricket and U.S. Cellular; additional carriers may be added.

By texting 26321 (AMEB1), you are providing your consent to participate in this program and you approve any such charges from your mobile carrier. Charges for text messages may appear on your mobile phone bill or be deducted from your prepaid balance. Berkshire Bank reserves the right to terminate this SMS service, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. The information in any message may be subject to certain time lags and/or delays. To opt out and stop receiving text messages, text STOP to 26321 (AMEB1). Following such a request no additional text messages will be sent unless you initiate an additional text message to us at 26321 (AMEB1).
