Berkshire Bank Expands Commercial Real Estate Lending in Mid-Atlantic Region

Christopher Unger Hired as SVP, Commercial Relationship Manager

Kingston, NJ, – Berkshire Bank today announced the appointment of Christopher Unger as Senior Vice President, Asset Based Lending and Relationship Manager. Unger will be tasked with continuing the bank's growth initiatives by maintaining strong client relationships in the Mid-Atlantic region while implementing new strategies to strengthen and expand real estate and construction finance.

Unger comes to Berkshire Bank from Beneficial Bank in Philadelphia and has over 35 years of banking experience.

Unger earned a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. He attended The Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ as well as the National School of Real Estate Finance, University of Wisconsin, Madison. Unger is also involved with the community; he serves as a co-chair of the South Jersey Satellite Council for Urban Land Institute of Philadelphia, as well as a member of the National Association of Industrial & Office Parks, Philadelphia Chapter and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
