Berkshire Bank Celebrates Customer Appreciation Events as Part of the Worcester Community

Donations, Week of Excitement, Random Acts of Excitement and Special Money Savings Offers May 7-14, 2018

WORCESTER, MA – Berkshire Bank is celebrating being a part of the Worcester region and saying ‘thank you' to its loyal Commerce Bank customers with community donations and special money saving offers. Berkshire Bank acquired the former Commerce Bank and is dedicated to maintaining local leadership and flexible decision-making while providing its customers the strength and resources of a big bank.

As part of the celebrations, the 16 new Commerce and Berkshire Bank branches nominated local nonprofits to receive funding. These nonprofits were chosen by Bank employees based on their close relationships with the organizations and the significant impact these organizations have on the community. The nonprofits will receive a total of $8,000 in funding and will be presented a check at their respective branch during the week of excitement include:

  • Boys & Girls Club of Worcester – Park Ave branch
  • Building Futures, Inc. – Lincoln St branch
  • City View Discovery School – Goldstar branch
  • The Friends of the West Boylston Council on Aging – West Boylston branch
  • Ginny's Helping Hand – Leominster branch
  • Joseph's Project – Holden branch
  • Kits for Kids – Marlborough branch
  • Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Center Inc. – Main St branch
  • Town of Milford - MYC – Milford branch
  • Webster Senior Center – Webster branch
  • Westborough Food Pantry Inc. – Westborough branch
  • Worcester Animal Rescue League – Grafton St branch
  • Casa Myrna Vasquez Inc. – Boston South End branch
  • Rotary District 7910 Charity Fund Inc. – Shrewsbury branch
  • YMCA of Greater Boston – Brighton branch
  • ARCK Bosto - Fenway branch

The week of excitement features specials and giveaways. In addition, during the month from May 7-14, 2018 the Bank will offer money saving specials on, certificates of deposit (CDs) and checking accounts. These events are open to the entire community, welcoming both customers and non-customers to visit their local branch and enjoy the festivities.

Berkshire Bank representatives will also show its appreciation for customers and communities by treating them to a special surprise at several random locations including Z Café in Worcester, MA and providing free dog treats at the local dog park. By surprising and delighting its loyal customers and communities, the hope is to inspire people to do something nice for someone else.
