Berkshire Bank Announces Kathryn Hersey as SVP, Director of Wealth Management & Chief Investment Officer


BOSTON, MA (OCTOBER 18, 2019). Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE: BHLB) announced the addition of Kathryn Hersey as SVP, Director of Wealth Management & Chief Investment Officer of Berkshire Bank. She will report directly to Sean Gray, President and COO of Berkshire Bank.

In this new role, Hersey will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight for planning and directing the development of Wealth Management business strategies.  Hersey will oversee all aspects of Wealth Management, including investment management, client service, trust and estate administration, financial planning, operations, and business development. Her work will be critically important in driving sustainable growth for the Bank’s Wealth Management team and optimizing the client experience.

Prior to joining Berkshire Bank, Hersey was SVP, Senior Portfolio Manager for Cambridge Trust Company in Boston, MA. Hersey has over twenty years of professional experience spanning the private and public sector. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College where she captained the women’s soccer and basketball teams.  She also has a Master of Business Administration from Babson College’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. Hersey is committed to volunteerism, serving as a YMCA of Greater Boston Volunteer Coach and as a former member and grant finance chair of The Philanthropy Connection, a women’s collective giving group. Hersey was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009.
